I tried out Anthony’s because I love New York style pizza and I thought we might have a new place that the family loved when we don’t feel like cooking. Unfortunately, every aspect of our meal was subpar. The woman on the phone said 35 minutes and it took 65. There was only one small cup of dressing for our family salad. Cokes were warm. Cheesecake was small and frozen. Garlic bread was nothing to write home about. Finally, the pizza was a large slab of crust with some bland cheese melted on. If you want to stand in a restaurant for thirty extra minutes to have some plain crust with a hint of cheese and sauce this place might be the pizza joint for you.
We had eaten in person when it 1st opened, and it was great. We did take out tonight. The pizza had barely any cheese on it (bunch of red sauce), and the extra $4 we paid for 2 toppings were non-existent. They forgot our salads, but they realized before I left the parking lot, which was nice. One of the salads was supposed to be a large and was not (did not realize until we got home). We also didn't receive any sauces for our wings. I hate giving mediocre reviews for local businesses, but for over $50, that's what it was.
When they get the order right the pizza is great we keep trying to order but often our pizza comes burned or soggy we ordered last week at 5:10 our one large pizza took an hour and a half to deliver all we asked was for crisp crust and it came soggy and not crispy at all and this is about the third time this has happened. We called they told us it's our fault for ordering it crispy... pizza is supposed to be crispy I shouldn't even have to ask but I also had to ask not to burn it not worth it in my experience
It ended up being a fantastic experience... I ordered what I thought was a complex pizza, but they delivered exactly how I wanted. Best pizza I've had in years. 10/10
Ordered their sausage sandwich. The bread was excellent, but I only got half a piece of sausage and very few of the peppers I paid extra for. Overall a pretty decent sandwich, though. I would suggest you don't use their Slice application to order online. They had huge delays in my order, and apparently I wasn't the first. Just call them by phone for a takeout order.
